Sadist ~ a person who derives pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others.

I struggle with the definition somewhat. A sadist is someone that takes pleasure from inflicting pain on someone else. That’s true whether the person having the pain inflicted is enjoying it or not. But I’m going to put that aside and just focus on those that inflict it on others who consent to it.

However, there’s a second reason I’ve struggled with this post, a more practical reason…I’m not someone that takes any enjoyment in someone else’s pain. In short I cannot relate to being a sadist so don’t really have much to say about it. And I’m not much of a masochist either so I don’t really get to witness a sadist at work.

Well, that last part isn’t strictly true. I have watched The Keeper inflicting pain on others and I’ve seen the evil glint in his eye. So I’m going to hand this post over to him for his thoughts

Hello again, it seems to be my time to say something… and apparently, so I’ve been told, I am a sadist. I say “I’ve been told” because I don’t really see myself that way. I essentially enjoy pleasing people, and if that involves a hug or kiss to a slap of my hand or a strike from a cane I’m not going to complain. Do I enjoy inflicting consensual pain… let’s just say I don’t not enjoy it.

Pleasure is sweetest when ’tis paid for by another’s pain.

Ovid

There’s more to it though than just spanking, hitting, hurting. There’s a connection, a sense of learning a persons limit and seeing how far that limit can be pushed. There’s reading their motions, their noises, ensuring that they are comfortable whilst being uncomfortable. All of these things add to the scene and ultimately the enjoyment for both/all parties. Does all this answer the question of am I a sadist, I can’t say but I guess I do enjoy being presented with a willing naked bottom and a selection toys to choose from.

So there you have it, sadism from the point of view of someone that isn’t a sadist, unless the scene is right.

  2. Firstly that is a ridiculously HOT image.

Secondly, yeah, the glint in the eye…. reminds of an afternoon with needles which seems so very long ago now
