What's the Buzz

This months fabulous writing

A bad week for sex workers by Elizabeth Swan

I hold my hands up to admitting I know very little about sex work the legalities and the models countries do and don’t use and that is a failing on my part. That said, I am all for people chosing whatever line of work they want to do. Life is, or should be, about choice! There is the part of me that is also fascinated about people’s work and why they chose the careers they do. People are so interesting! But let me get my thoughts back on track. I cannot understand people that don’t respect that choice and even worse, be judgemental about that choice. How is selling your body worse than selling your soul to a multi-billion pound corpration who couldn’t give a rats arse about you the worker?! I will leave my personal rant there but you should absolutlely go and read Elizabeth’s post because it is utterly brilliant.

Nanny by Blue Submission

Well this one hit me right in the feels. Grandparents are the most special people in the world. One thing my partner said to me towards the end of my Grandfathers life is that he will always play second fiddle to my Grandfather and he was right. Just to be clear, he said it in a kind, loving way not from a place of envy. It is in the little things I miss most, he’d know what to say when I’m sad, he know what dinner to cook to make me come over for a visit and he’d know what plants to put where in the garden but it’s his inappropriate jokes that I miss the most. I know he’s always with me but his passing left a big hole in my life.

Sapiosexuality…It’s not for me by Floss

I was so glad to see I’m not the only person to feel uncomfortable with the term sapiosexuaility. I find it elitist, priviledged and most importantly ableist. There are so many rich connections to have with people. Having book smarts alone isn’t something that attracts me to someone, I need to have more of a connection over a wide range of different things. Floss absolutely nailed this with this post.

This months gorgeous images

Canvas by Honey

I have a big kink for people’s creativity and I love boobs, so how could I not love this georgeous image from the very talented Honey. Also, how is it possible to paint so well on yourself?!

Looking for my libido by Focused and Filthy

This made me smile when I saw it. How can two people miles apart from each other having not discussed it at come up with something so similar. I guess it just goes to show how great minds really do think alike. I love the colour edit in this one, I think it makes the subject really pop out. Although her words do make me sad. The current world has impacted all of us in a variety of ways and I hope as we emerge her libido also re-emerges.

Tummy control by Muse

How gorgeous is she? I have to admit, I am more than a little envious of how good she looks but I’m also well aware I don’t look after myself as well as I should. Food has been something that’s helped me through this past year, whilst I don’t eat everything in sight, I’m not as careful as I should be. Maybe I should put this image up on the fridge and cupboard doors as a reminder *laughs.

Elements by Molly

This is just so good! I love the spoky feel to this, it’s almost as if it’s come straight out of the X-Files. The truth is out there but will we ever really find out how she managed this?
