Before I start I just want to say a huge thank you to everybody who has contributed to and supported Menstruation Matters. I was going to share my top pick here this month but I just can’t, there have been many more posts than I expected and they’re all so valuable. Go and take a look if you haven’t already!
This months fabulous writing
Catching every slippery squelch by Kayla Lords
This is a beautiful piece of writing which got me thinking about my own relationship with my partners wanking. In fact I started to delve into it a little and then deleted it again because it became a bit long and rambling so obviously it deserves a blog post all of its own!
On display by Zebra Rose
Oh my goodness, this is so damn hot its on fire! This calls out to the exhibitionist in me, not only that is has an added edge of erotic humilation and some orgasm denial thrown in for good measure. It lefts me squirming with need.
Self-care: am I dating myself? by Quinn Rhodes
I know this was written from a poly perspective but I think it actually applies to everyone. Whether you’re in a relationship or not it is important to spend time alone. Take time out of your busy day to have a walk along the river, enjoy people watching from a coffee shop window or enjoy that relaxing soak in a bath full of bubbles. If you take time out to just be with you, you will learn something about yourself you just didn’t realise.
Your loss by Molly
First of all I want to say a big ‘Fuck You’ to anyone who thinks ageism is acceptable! I want to add that I’m someone who was clueless in their 20’s, that improved in my 30’s but not to the point I was completely comfortable with who I am. I’m a month into my 40’s so who knows what that will bring. Which brings me perfectly onto my next point. If I only read things written by people in the same age bracket as me I couldn’t begin to think how dull life would be. We’re a diverse species, we need differnt thoughts and ideas in order to grow as an individual. I don’t want to live my life inside an echo chamber, I want to explore the other ideas out there. Some things come with youth, some with age and some with experience, those are not mutually exclusive!
This months gorgeous images
Positives and negatives by Submissy
I can imagine the unedited version of this image is beautiful but switching it so its in its negative has created something mindblowing. Instead of black stockings we get to see 60s style white gogo boots which are so sexy!
F is for Fun Stacks by Tabitha Rayne
Tabitha is a woman of many talents but who knew one of them was for creating stacks! I spent ages turning and twisting my ipad trying to work out how she managed to achieve a stack delicately balanced of sex toys. I decided in the end I wouldn’t give it a go myself, some things are best left to the experts.
Hood by Kisungura
I too have one of these hoods and we have yet to play with it in earnest. To be honest, as much as I love sensation play, the densory deprivation aspect terrifies me. I know thats partly the point! The contrast of the shiny black material coupled with her brilliant red lips makes for a very stunning image indeed.
That girl by Cuntella
In this case, no, not just tits, abso-fucking-lutely stunning tits! But her words are spot-on, why should women be made to feel ashamed of our bodies. What is it about ‘female presenting’ nipples that scares people? Why are we using such transphobic terms still? We can do better than this, lets all be free to express ourselves as we wish without being shamed.
altramiratales
Thank you for those, I’ll take a look.
