It was April 2014 when I started my blog, which makes this my 11th blogiversary. Who knew I would still be going after that length of time!
That said things have definitely slipped, life has taken over and I rarely have much to say anymore. The blogging community has changed massively too. Half the community revealed themselves to be transphobic, social media has imploded and now the Online Safety Act has meant it is no longer a safe space.
There are two things that have kept me going, posting a monthly Scavenger Hunt and forcing myself to do something else to post on Sinful Sunday. However, last week Molly has announced that will also be drawing to a close. Whilst I’m not surprised, it’s felt very unloved for a while, it still feels like it’s the final nail in the coffin.
That being said, I am still going to post every now and then because I cannot let the Scavenger Hunt go, I love it far too much to stop. And there maybe occasional blogs from me, like the one coming next week. But without a meme behind it I’m fairly sure I won’t get any views.
But, life changes and you just have to roll with it. Speaking of rolling with it, a trip away last Autumn brought me face to face with an unexpected skate park, so let’s grab those wheels and see what the future will bring.
