Part of the furniture

Forniphilia – the practice using a persons body to create furniture

Do I enjoy being turned into a piece of furniture? Well the answer to that is quite tricky. My immediate response is a big no. However when I explore that a bit more it’s not quite that simple.

I believed it was a form of honour bondage, an act of making me stay in one place without the physical bindings keeping me there. This is the part that really doesn’t work for me. I love the physical restraint, being forced to stay still against my will but clearly with consent.

Not only that, I’m a fidget, I can’t stay still. Even when having this image taken, I could feel myself rocking all over the place. I’m someone that has to keep moving, even if sitting watching the TV I’m checking my phone or playing a game at the same time. I need to keep busy and I think this quite sums me up perfectly.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

Albert Einstein

But I digress…back to forniphilia.

There was also an occasion when The Keeper was about to start needleplay on someone else, he offered them me as a footstool so they could get up onto the table easily. It was said in jest and my response to him made clear how I felt about that.

However, there is another side to forniphilia that may actually work for me. It’s the side with the more restrictive bondage. The side that gives you an added element of humiliation. For example, me having to serve a group of people from a tray that’s being held in place with nipple clamps. Or me being used as a table, bent in such a position that my cunt and arse are exposed and on show for everyone to see.

So maybe, in a way, the footstool idea could have worked for me if I hadn’t brushed it off as a passing comment and I’d actually given it as much thought as I have now. So whilst my knee jerk reaction to this kink is a no, perhaps I actually do like being part of the furniture.

  1. I never heard of ‘forniphilia’ before I read this post. But like you, I think I would fidget too much…maybe I could last for a couple minutes, but that’s about it haha. If I stay in one position for too long, my limbs get a tingling sensation (not in a good way, but more like I’ve lost circulation).

  2. I’m the same, a total fidget, so I guess it’s a good thing I would rather use someone as furniture than be the furniture. I don’t think I would last more than a minute or two!

  3. NPE

Mind blowing! Butt seriously! Furniture could be a very interesting shoot around the house if not a static measure.

  4. I hadn’t considered how forniphilia is similar to honour bondage. I take great pride in not needing to be bound down, and have huge fantasies of being furniture.

On the flip side I love using friends as furniture once I’ve tied them tight. Just to mess with their minds really.

You make a fabulous lamp by the way.

  5. I have pondered it quite a bit the last week or so and I don’t think there is any scenario where it works for me if I am the furniture but I can totally see how it would be hot to have some human furniture

  6. Like you, I definitely could not keep still long enough … in fact not even long enough for this wonderful photo.
P.s. I’m often told by my footstools that it can be difficult on their knees … so be careful for what you may wish for !!!

  7. I’m a fidget too, as I am sure you are fully aware of lol! We have never tried to do this… I might add furniture to my try images x

  8. This is such a stylistically impactful image! I love your thoughts too, I think I’m attracted to fornophilia for similar reasons.

  9. I have a definite kink for being a footstool or footrest. And it is something that I crave at times – especially when I need to find my centre and calm. That’s a softer, curled up option. The ‘on display’ version is far more disciplined and pushes separate buttons. It taps into my (not always so noticeable) need to go be absolutely beautifully obedient and to be useful.

You make a very attractive piece of furniture. I’d like to find the one switch for that lamp!
