Sometimes when presented with an opportunity you have to grab it with both hands!
Before I look forwards at future opportunities I want to look back over the past year. And what a shitty year it’s been! Whilst there have been some good things and wonderful times, they have definitely over shadowed by some fucking awful moments too.
Once again, the year has shown me who my friends are and who aren’t who they say they are. Those that have stood by me have supported me through losses, challenging changes and illness. Finding my way having been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome continues to be a bumpy road, balancing out the need to look after myself with getting out there and living life.
Which brings me onto the future. Life still needs to be lived and nothing will stop me doing that, I just need to make sure I factor in I can’t do everything at 100mph, sometimes I need to curl up with a hot chocolate and a good film! But plenty of fun plans are already in the calendar for the new year.
You never know what life is going to throw at you. Learning to live with those changes isn’t easy but it definitely makes you more aware that every opportunity needs to be grabbed and that’s exactly how I’m starting the new year!
