I was a bit lost for words when I saw the latest Kink of the Week prompt was Cuddly toys. I even had to look up what a plushie was because that’s not a term I knew.
I do have one cuddly toy from when I was a baby but I didn’t want to post a picture of him because I thought he was a bit unique. However that turned out not to be the case, a good friend of mine had the same toy! He’s also not very cuddly any more, he was well-loved so now is a bit delicate and threadbear.
Bizarrely my mother put him in the bed when I moved into my first owned property. I have no idea what possessed her to do that but she also tried to cuddle me that day so clearly something was amiss!
As an adult I’ve never seen the appeal of them, they just add to clutter and gather dust in the corner. Besides, why would I need a stuffed toy when I have my very own teddy bear?

I have one cuddly toy from when I was tiny too, but I’ve passed it on to my boys now. Your adult version is what i would choose too.

Love it. In my twenties, I dated a man who was not at all physically affectionate–and I slept with a teddy bear. I do think stuffed animals can be a stand-in for a human bedmate.
