A knickerbocker glory is a tall ice cream dessert with multiple layers of sweet deliciousness.
It’s probably no surprise to most of you that I don’t class myself as a girlie girl. You’ll rarely find me wearing pink and again it’s unlikely you’ll find me in anything flowery either.
So why am I referring to myself as a multilayered sweet treat? Well there are plenty of layers to me, they may not all be easy to see and they may not all fit in to what people see as the norm. There are times I even surprise myself and find something that just calls out to me for some reason. These knickers did just that, even thought they’re monotone I just love those flowery details and I know I’m not the only fan of how they look and feel on me.

We are all multi-layered in ways that are difficult for people to see, as we all have a lifetime of experiences and interactions that color who we are (and we are constantly changing); I think your metaphor reflects this really well! x

I agree with Posy. The idea you have of you in them and you in them is brilliant. I also don’t often go for frilly or flowery (Katherine kidson stuff is my idea of torture) – I’m happiest in my baggy jumpers and jeans. But I do like lacy and flowery and frilly underwear. It’s like my secret self.
