I have been crazy busy this month which has made me run so far behind with everything this month and haven’t really been doing much reading, so this will be a short one!

My people give me superpowers by Girl on the Net
Life has been a bit shit for all of us recently but when you throw in an additional life changing moment it makes it a bit (ok, lots) more shit. I’ve followed a few heartbreaking posts and tweets from GOTN and haven’t found any words to convey what I want to say because everyone else had already said it. However this post just hit me right in the feels. Whilst we are our own superpower, sometimes you just need that additional lift from others to help you through. You just need that ridiculous joke to break your mood spiralling down, you just need someone to pass you a tissue when its so much easier to just use your sleeve. In amongst all the shit and the heartbreak, this post lifted me again and I only have to add that GOTN is a superpower who helps us all through at times too.

Don’t you wish you could look in the mirror and what reflects back at you is the you that everyone else sees? Yes, me too! Don’t you also wish you could talk about your body issues without worrying about upsetting others when you do so. Body positivity is a difficult topic to discuss, we’re too fat, too thin, our boobs too big, not big enough and so the list goes on. Throw into issues we have about our gender identity and sexuality and the whole thing becomes a big ugly mess. We need to keep reminding ourselves what others see in us, we are beautiful!

I am a bit fan or horror and gore films. I love that feeling of being scared and creeped out whilst knowing I’m totally safe. LSB has totally nailed this in my view. Whilst its scary, its also sexy as fuck. I love blood and I find it hot so this just reduced me to a speechless puddle especially as it’s so realistic!

There is something about this image that speaks to me on multiple levels. Not only does it have a bit of a Halloween feel to it, which I love. Witches, to me, are about strong women who know what they want and know how to get it which scares some people and therefore they’re vilified.
