There have been many occasions I’ve told the Keeper to ‘up periscope’, apparently just using those words doesn’t work…who knew!
But imagine my glee when I found a real submarine to play on. It’s not often you stumble across a sub in a sub!
Sadly we only had time for a quick flash because we had to avoid the cameras in each section and we weren’t alone exploring the submarine.
This does mean there’s a brand new location on the Scavenger Hunt, I can’t wait to see who else can get this location.

Oh wow, what a location!

I love this! Such a cheeky shot, and brilliant location.

Brilliant photo and brilliant location Bee … I’ve always wondered how sub-semen managed, all crammed together, with someone regularly calling out “up periscope” !!!

Very nice. Looks too big to be the German sub in Chicago’s science and industry museum. Also looks newer than WWII. But what an interesting thought next time I go site seeing with my Kitten! Inspiring.

I know if I came back I would be able to see it and I can. This has got to be a scavenger hunt classic!

Fabulous and so sneaky!!

How very cool and creative! Thanks for sharing all of that.

What a brilliant location – I have a feeling it will be a while before you have company!

I shall keep my eyes open for a sub(marine) *grin

I’m going to conduct extensive research to see if “up periscope” really doesn’t work. I’ll let you know the results. 😈

I want to see that sub in a sub! Your photo disappeared, Bee. The thumbnail on SS showed. I’ve been on two submarines one German and one of ours. Something to see for sure and a real scavenger hunt challenge I’m sure.
