We spent a long time deciding which one of our images to retake. Most of our images have meaning behind them, memories and fun that can’t just be recreated.
Some of them are taken outdoors, those tend to be more rushed and lend themselves to be re-shot with a little more planning. Yet that was our downfall again, all that time we’ve known about the prompt and we leave ourselves no time to go out and actually take a new version!
So back to the drawing board we go and see which image to recreate and get side tracked by other projects and future ideas we’d like to try.
In the end we decided on Together we felt it was dark and didn’t really capture the warmth of the moment it was supposed to depict. Not only that we posted it almost a year to the day of its recreation.

This is lovely and warm and so very sweet! I like the playfulness of the first image, but it was hard to see the detail and I agree with Molly that this one seems to capture the feeling really well.

I so love the warmth and comfort that radiate out of this photo – even those bare feet look mighty warm! Nice framing, too.

The difference between the two images is remarkable. This one really gives a better sense of the story with the wine glasses and the fire and you can see your feet clearly.
