Tart in tartan

Bee sat on their knees wearing tartan crotchless knickers and tartan knee high socks

I am a big fan of tartan. In my youth it was blackwatch tartan that I loved, now it’s red tartan that I prefer. Maybe the fiery colour matches my fiery nature but I just love how impactful it is.

I have a pair of red tartan trousers I used to wear to the office and it never failed to get a few compliments.

I digress, this post is supposed to be about texture, not patterns!

I can be funny with textures when it comes to clothes. I don’t really like anything that feels smooth, so shiny materials just don’t work for me. Things like velvet, wet-look or latex just feel wrong.

The feel of something fluffy and cosy, especially at this time of the year, are definitely what I need. A pair of warm fluffy socks or a jumper I can snuggle right into give me the comfort I need.

That said, I’m also aware of what others like to see me in. So something that has pretty ruffles but with easy access works well. Couple them with the warm socks and that keeps me happy too.

What keeps everyone happy? A tart in tartan!
