Rescue me

Scavenger Hunt | Sinful Sunday

Bee getting their bottom out on the beach next to a lifeguard tower

The past month has been a rough ride, I’ve struggled to keep my head above the water and I’ve needed someone to rescue me several times.

Rescue me
Oh take me in your arms
Rescue me
I want your tender charms
'Coz I'm lonely and I'm blue
I need you and your love too
Come on and rescue me
~ Aretha Franklin

Going forwards I hope I learn to cope with all the crap thrown my way better, I want to blow those cobwebs and dust away and I want to rediscover me again.

It would probably help if I could feel the warm sun and a gentle breeze against my skin but we have a few months of winter to get through before that’s possible. So for now, I’ll enjoy the memories and fun of this summer.

On this particular day, the original plan was to go straight to another beach but at the last minute I remembered there was a lifeguard tower that maybe worth trying to get a photo with. Luckily for us, this beach was fairly empty of people so we could get a snap without being seen.

And we couldn’t have timed it better, just as I dropped my dress back down we heard the shrill screams of excitable children as they climbed out of their school trip bus. They may’ve been giggling with excitement but we were also giggling at how lucky we were with our timings!

Sometimes just looking back and enjoying those memories and the giggles you’ve had is enough to rescue me, sometimes I need someone to catch me when I fall. Luckily I have some great people in my life who do just that. As much as I wish they didn’t need to, I’m grateful that they do!

So this one is for them “come on and rescue me’!

  2. Fantastic find for your hunt. I’m glad to hear that you’ve got people who can support you in your times of need. But even happier to know that you give them the opportunity to do so. That is so courageous on your part.

  3. So glad you have wonderful people to lean on when you need to. And what a wonderful photo!

I’m glad you have a support system in place to lean on when you are struggling, which we all seem to be doing these days.

Glad you got this great photo in and the memories to look back on. I am dreading the cold dark months of winter.

  5. What a great shot and fantastic scavenger hunt pic.
These last year I found harder than the one before. I hope you find some solid ground to work from. Hugs
