Playing in public

Our first foray into public play events was back in our swinging days. We started attending a swingers club about a two hour drive away from home, just to make sure we wouldn’t bump into anyone we knew!

It was fun, I got to fulfil my exhibitionist streak by wearing nothing but lingerie and being watched whilst we fuck.

Then the swinging became something I didn’t enjoy, fucking random strangers isn’t something that got me off, I need to feel a connection with someone for it to be enjoyable. So we stopped going and started finding our feet in the kinky world instead.

Then we did something I think lots of people do, we went along to a well know, highly organised event…Torture Garden. It was something that almost put me off play events for life. Whilst there were a few performance shows going on, it was mostly people looking good. I don’t have a problem with that per se, I like people looking at me too, it was the people sitting and lounging on the play equipment that I found disappointing. We wanted an introduction to kink and sadly that wasn’t the place to find it.

We then found ourselves at a Skin Two event which was much better. It was also where we found ourselves being dropped in the deep end and I found myself in rope suspension.

It was only after we started attending, what was then, our local munch and finding like-minded friends that we ended up regularly attending play events. Whilst I’m an exhibitionist, I am also very much a voyeur. I love seeing how other people play and getting more ideas of what we can do together. (Un)fortunately so does my partner, whilst I see all the lovely things, he sees all the mean ones!

Generally though, we don’t play in public. Whilst I would take advantage of all the equipment we don’t have at home, he prefers the privacy. That said, if a club allows it, we have been known to play with needles which is something he has the most confidence in. Maybe if we manage to get together with friends we play with then I’ll get the opportunity for public play. It’s definitely not something that is a deal breaker for me, after all I get to sit back and take in all the wonder happening around me.
