A surprise hotel

Sometimes you find a place that you have to find a reason for a visit. In this case I couldn’t resist an old prison that’s been converted into a hotel.

And before long I found a very good reason to go. A couple of years ago, I decided to take The Keeper for his birthday! He knew where we were going but not where we staying and his face was a picture when we arrived.

After we settled into our ‘cell’, off we went and spent the day in the city before we met a friend for dinner and a cocktail or few, which was also a surprise.

At the end of the night, we decided to explore some of the corridors, which gave us an ideal opportunity to get some cheeky photos against the backdrop of this beautiful hotel. It makes you wonder, what have these hotel walls seen over the years.
