A land of contrasts

We were lucky to spend some time in Iceland this year. It is absolutely stunning and full of contrasts.

Obviously it’s known as the land of fire and ice. It is both incredibly beautiful and green but also very barren. In some places you look like you’re on the moon and in others you could be on mars.

In this instance there are a few contrasts. A wrapped up and warm Bee in cold surroundings. But lets focus on the contrasting black and white. The black being as a result of fire, it’s ash rather than lava per se but it’s definitely the result of a volcano spewing it’s guts. And the white is the stunning Vatnajökull glacier, which is a new location of the Scavenger Hunt list too!
