“The fair girl went on her knees and bent over me, fairly gloating. There was a deliberate voluptuousness which was both thrilling and repulsive, and as she arched her neck she actually licked her lips like an animal… I could feel the soft, shivering touch of the lips on the super-sensitive skin of my throat, and the hard dents of two sharp teeth, just touching and pausing there.”
I was in my early teens when I first read Bram Stokers Dracula. When I read this passage it was the first time I had ever been turned on by the written word. It has also meant that I have always had a fascination by everything vampire ever since, although I draw the line at Twilight!
A while ago we made a trip to Whitby and I was so ridiculously excited to see the Abbey on the hillside I didn’t think of stopping by the hotel and changing into something a bit more suitable before rushing up the 199 steps towards the stunning 16th century ruins. It was a very foggy day so the views we hoped for were missing but the fog just gave it a beautiful haunting atmosphere, it also meant there was hardly any one else looking around and a perfect opportunity for some photos.
So here I am waiting for a bite from my Count.
